Joker Venom is the most infamous of the Joker's weapons. A combination of unstable chemicals, the toxin is emitted in gas form from a gag flower on the Joker's lapel or any one of his trick weapons. The victim engages in anything from uncontrollable fits of laughter to death. The toxin also can contort its victim's facial muscles into a fiendish grin much like the Joker's. Sometime in the early years of the Justice League, the Joker infiltrated the Secret Sanctuary and presented Monkey Clowns strapped with packs full of the toxin. The Flash was doused with it but his accelerated metabolism burned off the effects of the toxin before any damage could be done.
While a member of the Injustice League, the Joker supplied his Joker Venom toward the creation of Plant Creatures. When manipulated to, the spores on the plants emit Joker Venom in gas form. Rather than surrender, the Joker decided to expose everyone in the Leauge, the Team, and Justice League to the gas. Dr. Fate intervened and siphoned the gas through a portal.
