Containment Pods are devices used by the Reach to imprison and transport subjects. On Earth, they supplied the Light with these pods to contain test subjects with - teenage run aways and the like. The pods were then delivered to the Reach and its scientists would perform various experiments on the captives. While inside one, Jaime Reyes learned the Scarab was unable to generate the Blue Beetle armor.
