Danny the Street is a living, sentient street in Jump City. Sticky Joe emerged from a subway and hit Danny when he was in a crosswalk light. Danny told him to watch it because he just had it painted. Joe looked around in confusion. Danny guided him to the light and introduced himself then called himself fabulous. Joe was still confused. Danny possessed a trash can then a cone and a light. Joe got it. Danny inquired what brought him to his neighborhood. Joe explained he was looking for a missing shoe. Danny didn't recall seeing any but volunteered to help. A manhole cover lifted up. Then a tree opened an occupied portable toilet. The man inside shrieked. As a lightpole, he looked inside Vibe's Studio 52 but only saw booties shaking. He found the shoe in front of Barter Town but a Jump City Automated Street Sweeper drove over it and it got stuck in its gears. The machine went haywire and wrecked a hydrant, bench, and the portable toilet. Danny felt it all. Joe had an idea. Danny took over a no parking sign and batted Joe to the machine. He removed his shoe. Danny cheered but a spring busted out of the machine and launched Joe across the city.
