Hawk and Dove are members of the Winged Warriors. During an emergency bird call, all members went to the secret base known as the Bird Sanctuary. Hawk and Dove had a snack at a giant bird feeder then attended the debriefing about a creepy bird watcher that was after the fabled First Nest, a bird nest of great power where the first egg hatched. Hawkman was the first to be defeated by the bird watcher who turned out to be Egghead. Robin, Raven, Birdarang, Black Canary, Hawk, Dove, Penguin, and Stool Pigeon went upstairs to the Chicken Coop to protect the First Nest just as Egghead breached the level.
Penguin was defeated. Hawk and Dove went next but they landed on a spike strip laid down by Egghead and they flew up to Penguin. Eventually, Egghead won and sat in the First Nest to see what came first, the chicken or the egg. It turned out to be the egg. Egghead believed the revelation would bring world peace and an age of enlightenment. The warriors broke free and kicked him out of the nest. His head cracked open and he forgot what came first. They refused to tell him. Egghead called them jerks.
