Deadman is a circus trapeze artist from Boston who died but came back from the dead to solve his own murder case. He remained a ghost. Deadman was a spectator at the Super Hero Summer Camp's canoe race. Deadman attended the Doom Patrol's clambake in Codsville one summer. Deadman accepted a free invitation to a Space House and was unknowingly collected by Brainiac until the Skull Ship was destroyed. Deadman attended the Wayne Manor Regency Ball, went to Wonder Woman's 80th anniversary party, and was a spectator at the Codsville Thanksgiving Parade. He was trapped in canned cranberry sauce with Booster Gold. He attended the DC Superhero Awards Show at the Hall of Justice. Using Raven's spellbook without her knowing, Beast Boy and Cyborg summoned Deadman after they saw his movie one night. Deadman was annoyed to be pulled away from dinner just to be told they liked his movie. He asked if they had a grinder. He became hostile after they tried to offer him Robin's overnight oats to eat.
They dodged him but he produced a flaming sword but Cyborg and Beast Boy quickly pulled him back into the book, stomped it, and tossed it out of the tower. Cyborg hardly slept that night and kept having nightmares about Deadman chasing him through the streets of Boston. Beast Boy had nightmares of Deadman dunking his head in a bowl of chowder repeatedly.
