Sinestro was a famed and respected member of the Green Lantern Corps but he believed fear was needed more and more to keep the peace in the universe. He was eventually branded a traitor and stripped of his ring. He found a new yellow power ring and tried to get revenge against the Green Lanterns, even forming his own Corps. Sinestro was one of the new villains drawn into Control Freak's conflict with the Teen Titans during a staged Island Adventure stunt. After the Titans went in time to prevent the origins of Earth's greatest superheroes, Sinestro was one of the villains who wrecked havoc in Hollywood. During Christmas, Sinestro was at the Jump City Prison when the Titans broke Santa Claus out.
