Dr. Light and Dr. Moon came up with a plan to take control of the world economy but they needed to distract the Teen Titans long enough for the plan to work. They started a scam business called Dr. Moonlight Job Clinic in downtown Jump City and broadcast a targeted commercial to the Titans Tower. They correctly predicted they were sick of having no money and Robin was in denial. They hooked Cyborg, Raven, Beast Boy, and Starfire with the allure of having more money than Bruce Wayne. Robin immediately saw through their scam but not the others. He agreed to go with the clinic to expose their criminal enterprise and shut them down. They waited in the waiting room for 20 minutes. Robin had enough and went to knock on the door but it swung open and crushed him into the wall. He jumped on Light and demanded to know what was going on. They explained they were helping heroes do some moonlighting by prescribing a second job to make extra cash.
Moon used a tongue depressor on Starfire and noted she enjoyed drawing but struggled with social skills so he prescribed her a web designer job. Light checked Cyborg's reflexes and was kicked. He noted Cyborg was into cars and meeting creepy new people so he prescribed him a rideshare driver job. Moon checked Beast Boy's blood pressure and saw that he loved spending time with animals and pooping so he prescribed him a dog walker job. Light looked in Raven's ear but had no idea what she liked but could see she hated commitment and decided on making her an office temp. Moon put on a rubber glove for Robin. He canceled the appointment and fired his grappler, taking the Titans through a wall into a dumpster below. Robin argued a second job would affect their main one as a superhero but they pointed out superheroes like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman all had day jobs and taking on second jobs would be good for the economy. Robin gave his blessing but warned it better not interfere with being superheroes. It interfered.
Moon and Light conducted various bank robberies with no resistance. They used the stolen money to fund the completion of their invention, the Nightlight. The Titans were clued in by a crime alert and confronted the villains outside their clinic. Light activated it and brainwashing beams forced everyone on the planet to take up second jobs and create the strongest economy in the world but controlled by them. An economic bubble grew above their clinic. The Titans charged the Nightlight but Moon wrote a prescription for a roundhouse kick. Light swung Moon around and he roundhouse kicked the Titans. Robin got an idea and threw his Birdarang at the bubble instead of trying to shut down the Nightlight. The bubble burst and the remnants formed into a Recession. The monster breathed flames and destroyed part of the complex where the clinic was. Light and Moon were horrified and ran away. The Recession continued with destroying downtown. Raven asked how they were going to stop it. Robin assured them it would go away on its own in about two to three years then he shed a tear.
