Long ago, Winston Q. Dingbert presented his new font Zimdings to the Committee of Fonts. It was booed and rejected for the being a complete and utter abomination. As punishment, Dingbert was arrested, convicted from creating the world's dumbest font, and was exiled to the Island of Garbage Fonts. He colonized the natives, called them Dingbats, and forced them to learn Zimdings. Many years later, Robin voluntarily selected Zimdings as a font for his annual team leader report and inadvertently triggered a trap left behind by Dingbert that set off the Typocalypse. All the world's fonts were transported to prison cells on the Island of Garbage Fonts while all fonts around the world were switched to Zimdings. The Titans took Raven's portal to the Island. Dingbert stepped out of his hut and played dumb about what events had transpired. Cyborg immediately recognized him and ordered him to puts his hands up. He saw through Dingbert's facade and charged him with what happened to the world.
Dingbert continued to feign innocence and stated it would be a shame to not see all of the fonts in their full glory. He pledged to help them apprehend whoever was responsible then invited the Titans inside his hut for tea. Raven scolded Cyborg for prejudging Dingbert. After the Titans relaxed, Raven noted it must have been tough to live so far away from civilization. Dingbert told them a liberal version of his exile and teaching the native people the language of Zimdings. He mused it had been a long time since he felt such a purpose in life. All but Cyborg were moved by the story. Dingbert promised them answers but wanted to show them something first. He pressed his remote and dropped the Titans into an underground prison chamber where the fonts were being held captive. Dingbert leaped down and harnessed the power of Zimdings. He took on a new powerful form and declared he was Lord Zimding then conjured powerful constructs that resembled the symbols from the Zimdings font, a pointing finger, a plane, and a pencil.
Raven conjured a shield just in time to protect everyone but Dingbert quickly created several dagger constructs above her and pinned her to the ground. Cyborg was about to fire his arm cannon, but Dingbert created a pair of scissors and cut his arm off then droped a giant mailbox on Robin and Beast Boy. Raven admitted they were no match for his font-based powers. Robin lifted up a corner of the mailbox and proposed they free the other fonts and harness their power. Starfire transformed into Princess Papyrus, Raven into Gothic Centurion, Beast Boy into Captain Impact, and Robin into Arial Black. They combined their power into one blast named the Super Mega Laser Blast. Dingbert was able to put up a smiley face shield then countered with his own blast and steadily gained ground. Cyborg refused to merge with Comic Sans at first but the Raven pleaded with him to put aside his font snobbery or the world would be doomed. Cyborg caved and became Super Comic Sans. The combined power of the Super Mega Laser Blast Attack overcame Dingbert and Zimdings was destroyed. The world was restored back to normal. The natives were grateful to the Titans for defeating Dingbert and hit him repeatedly after Cyborg tied him up.
