The Scroll of Osiris is a map written on papyrus, allegedly by Osiris, a chief Egyptian god and first king of the Nile. It secretly displayed a map to the hidden tomb of Thoth Khepera in the Canyon of Tombs. For most of his immortal life, Ra's Al Ghul possessed one half of the Scroll and was obsessed with finding the second half in order to attain ultimate knowledge from Khepera. In the modern age, it is considered the oldest Egyptian document. On behalf of Bruce Wayne, the second half was part of several Egyptian artifacts donated for the Treasures of the Pharaohs display at a Gotham museum. Ubu stole the Scroll and encountered Batman, only to be saved by his master. Ra's then took the Scroll to his sanctuary in Cairo and decoded the map.
