The Mobius Chair is the creation of the New God, Metron. With it, he travels the universe, through the space-time contiuum, and other dimensions to observe. It can also stop time indefinitely and generate a spherical force field. When Lex Luthor attempted to resurrect Brainiac, Metron froze time and implored him to reconsider his actions. Luthor ignored them and watched in horror as Darkseid appeared rather then Brainiac. Metron reappeared in Metropolis and observed the battle between Darkseid, Superman, Batman, and Lex Luthor. Luthor convinced him to give him the only thing that could defeat Darkseid. Metron used the chair to form a bubble around himself and Luthor then teleported to the edge of the universe, the Source Wall.
