  • October 13, 2015: Summary of NYCC panel. First clip has Damian and Dick talking about who should follow who, Batwoman quickly deduces Dick is Batman, and while Dick suggests teamwork Batwoman isn't interested, Expect "some design cues and homages" to the Batman Beyond suit with Batwing, Batman is under major duress in the film, expect "cool stuff in terms of his psyche and what makes Bruce Wayne tick," for Batwoman they made sure the use of action choreography reflected Kate Kane's military background and wanted to sell her as a "real character," Luke Fox was chosen because he was the person Bruce Wayne originally wanted to be Batwing in the comics, 2nd clip highlights Batwoman's military training and Batwing's gadgets, Batwoman's view on crime is very different and her morals play off Dick and Damian similar to Thomas Wayne in The Flashpoint Paradox, and Bourassa comments the Batman suit Dick uses is in part his love of Silver Age art and in-universe it shows Dick isn't fully willing to accept the mantle. • October 15, 2015: NYCC Q&A with James Tucker, Jay Oliva, and Phil Bourassa. The Calculator confirmed, Tucker really wanted to do a Bat-family movie so they had to sideline Batman to tell a great story, Batman is in this movie more than Batman was in Assault on Arkham, Bad Blood title was chosen before the Taylor Swift song of the same name came out, and title means it is kinda bloody and about family on both sides - the heroes and villains. • October 22, 2015: Transcript of NYCC roundtable interviews. Phil Bourassa notes Heretic was the most tedious to design. The first draft of the script didn't have all the villains in the final version. Jay Oliva notes a year passed since he worked on this movie. This movie is inspired more along the lines of "The Raid." There is a sequence with Nightwing and Damian that is Oliva's little love letter to 1980s action movies. Most of Batwoman's fighting techniques are Krav Maga, the Marine martial arts. Batman learned everything so Oliva mixes in jiujitsu, tae kwon do, and thai kickboxing. Nightwing does Kali Escrima in part because of Oliva's Filipino heritage. Batwoman carries military issue M-9 Berettas. There be kind of a hint that Lucius has been around this whole time. His son Luke returns from Afghanistan. The movie takes place 3-6 months after Batman vs. Robin. Theme of the movie is "when you father is gone, are you ready to take on the mantle and continue what he started?" James Tucker elaborates there are different ways there can be family when there is no blood relation. Tucker thinks this movie probably has the most heart. Toon Zone Article

  • October 8, 2016: Summary of New York Comic Con panel. 4 clips shown. First clip is a Justice League meeting concerning another global crisis. Normal citizens are creating chaos in the streets. Wonder Woman suggests magic but Batman dismisses it despite past encounters with Trigon and Circe. Batman later sees "Constantine" etched in his mirrors and walls of his bathroom. The clip ends with the opening credits. The second clip, Constantine casts a spell that forces Jason Blood to transform into Etrigan in order to deal with some demons. After Etrigan changes back to Blood, he punches Constantine. He's been fighting against Etrigan's influence for 500 years. Constantine believed it was worth the risk. Jay Oliva comments this is how he would make a Harry Potter movie. The movie explores Constantine's precarious relationships with everyone else. Oliva found the moving freeing in a way. Matt Ryan admits he kept getting some spells wrong during recording but they're always a mouthful. The third clip was about Constantine, Zatanna, Batman and Deadman visiting an old friend. Constantine encounters a few shrouds, who threaten to drag him down to hell. The shrouds express an interest in Batman because he "has cheated death many times." Oliva revealed that Camilla Luddington indeed recorded Zatanna's spells backwards. Jason O'Mara noted he had fun trying to get Nick Turturro's voice when Deadman possesses Batman. Phil Bourassa cites Etrigan and Swamp Thing as fun designs to play with. In the fourth clip, Constantine, Batman, Zatanna, Deadman and Jason Blood go to meet Swamp Thing. Batman doesn't believe that Swamp Thing exists. Constantine casts a spell and threatens some "posies" in the swamp. A silhouette, Swamp Thing, rises from the swamp. CBR Article

Matt Ryan enjoyed that Constantine got to interact with characters he didn't before in the live action television series. Jason O'Mara notes Batman doesn't believe in the supernatural and let's Constantine know that, making them rivals in a sense. Batman serves sort of like the audience's eyes and ears. Phil Bourassa notes he gave Etrigan's armor a look out of the Dark Ages than stick to Jack Kirby's design completely. Bourassa did 10-12 concept designs of Swamp Thing. Tucker and Jay Oliva reiterate it is a horror film. On the movie's rating, Tucker admits he had to recut two previous movies that got rated R so they would be PG-13. CBR Article

  • November 20, 2016: A break down of the trailer by Jay Oliva. Killing Joke's success paved the way for Dark to get a R rating. Zatanna is the most powerful magic user but she's afraid to use it all because it is an intoxicating force of nature. Constantine stores artifacts in the House of Mystery. Compared to Zatanna, Constantine is in the mid-tier of magic users but definitely has an affinity to the supernatural and magic. Oliva likens him to the supernatural version of Batman. Instead of doing it from London where he lives, Matt Ryan went to Los Angeles to record. Constantine and Swamp Thing know each other but don't like each other. Nobody really liked Constantine that much. It was decided enough time passed in the films so the Justice League already recruited more members. They didn't need a big event movie to introduce John Stewart, Hawkman, and Martian Manhunter. It is established in the movie that Hal Jordan was in a different galaxy so Stewart was around to oversee the sector. Oliva tried to play up the cursed angle with Jason Blood. He's jaded and lost the luster of being a superhero. He just wants to die and find peace. Batman is the "Scully to the Mulders of the Justice League Dark team." EMPIRE Article
