Krypto was the family pet of the El family on the planet Krypton. Krypto was survived and lived in the miniaturized city of Kandor stolen by Brainiac. The city was later rescued by Superman and resides his Fortress of Solitude. When the Legion empowered the Kandorians to help fight off Imperiex, it is believed a descendent of Krypto also helped.
