(Comic Canon only) Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy took the Harley Quinn Highway with Commissioner Gordon and the GCPD still in pursuit of them. Even with Harley driving 110 miles per hour, Gordon still persisted. He ordered her to pull over and vowed he wouldn't let the President of the United States or Gotham down. The officers started opening fire and not hit a window. Ivy started getting angry. Harley taunted Ivy was going to kill them. Ivy stated she wasn't killing anyone and implored her to keep her eyes on the road. Harley noted it was hard to with her on her knees next to her in a wedding dress. Gordon ordered them again to pull over. Harley flipped him off then jumped towards the squad cars with a bat to thin the herd while Ivy took over the wheel. As Harley recapped the past two years, an officer realized she destroyed Gotham because he was friend zoned. Harley told him to shut up and punched him out. She commandeered the vehicle until Ivy pulled her back into their car with a van.
Ivy used her powers on some trees to form an off ramp of sorts then told Harley turn onto it. Gordon tried to follow but Ivy had the branches toss his car off the highway but she commanded vines to entangle it at the last second. Gordon faceplanted into the windshield. Harley was impressed and was ready to pounce her in the car. Ivy told her soon enough. They took in the scenic view of Gotham still in ruins. Ivy became abnormally quiet but insisted there was nothing wrong. Harley's inner Dr. Quinzel appeared in her rear view mirror and warned her against forcing Ivy to open up, reminding her she had a traumatic day and just needed support. Ivy asked her if her brain was going to freeze again. They arrived at the Gotham Mall. Harley carried her in and they kissed then reaffirmed they loved each other. Harley took her to her room, which was a former bed store, and she tried to make a mattress pun. She quickly cleaned up then they settled down to watch Tawny Young.
They realized she was at the wedding, too, and millions saw what went down between Ivy and Kite Man. Young called it the biggest wedding disaster of the decade. Ivy threw the remote into the TV and broke it. Harley chided her for breaking the TV she just stole. Ivy was about the leave the room but Harley pointed out she had more and she broke many of hers in the past. Ivy stated she just needed a minute alone. Harley found her on the floor of the restroom crying and tried to comfort her. Ivy lied that she couldn't unzip her dress and got frustrated. Harley helped her out of it then they made out and went to the bed. Harley still wanted to know if she was really okay. Ivy admitted she had been better and there was a lot to process but she would be fine. Ivy got a Tawny Alert on her phone and realized Gordon was freed from his car so they had to vacate the mall quickly.
Harley got an idea and proposed a road trip, squatting in the hideouts of their recently arrested comrades Livewire, Killer Frost, and Nightfall. Ivy wasn't so sure since she blamed herself for their incarceration. Harley assured her they would be doing a favor by looking after their pets and flowers and picking up their mail. Ivy knew she was going to regret it but agreed to the roadtrip. Harley almost forgot about Bud n Lou and went back inside for them while Ivy waited at the car. Harley yelled out to her to start the car. Ivy turned and was surprised to see Harley hop in with the hyenas. They departed for Catwoman's hideout. Harley planned to drop Bud and Lou off with Catwoman while they went on their road trip. She fed them some "boob jerky" she kept in her top. Ivy became suspicious of the empty neighborhood and suspected the road workers were police. Harley didn't see it but readied her bat anyway. Ivy took her eyes off the road and nearly ran over two cantankerous elderly women. Ivy apologized and took full responsibility. Harley thought they were cute and imagined that's what they were going to look like.
Harley was not digging the lack of enthusiasm. Ivy contended she already had a lot to process and couldn't think about the future. She told Harley she loved her but they had to take it one day at a time. Harley was annoyed but reminded her to turn down Williams Street. Harley turned to Bud and Lou and mused she would have them forever. Ivy turned on the radio. They both immediately turned the station at the same time and laughed. Ivy asked if Catwoman knew they were coming. Harley quickly shot her a text. Ivy was not keen on it and admonished Harley about boundaries. Catwoman refused to take anyone in and picked up her cats Diamonds and Pearls after Bud and Lou started staring and whooping at them. Harley lied they were vegetarians. Catwoman yelled at Bud and Lou to stay and not move. To Harley's surprise, they complied and stayed at the entrance. Harley and Ivy were amazed by Catwoman's place. Without thinking, Harley leaped on to the couch and put her boots up. Catwoman slapped them down and warned her to treat her home with respect or leave the way she came. Ivy scolded Harley and went to talk to Catwoman alone.
Commissioner Gordon and the police demanded their surrender. Gordon threw a grenade at the building. Catwoman told Harley and Ivy to get her cats and meet her upstairs. The explosion threw them off their feet. Ivy caught herself, Harley, and a cat with vines. Catwoman landed on her feet. Ivy tried to hold off the police with vines while Catwoman and Harley ran up with arm loads of cats. Harley used one of Catwoman's whips to swing up to an upper floor with Ivy. A SWAT team charged in from the back. Harley taunted Gordon but he vowed he would catch them. He had another grenade. Batman blew his way in and tried to get Gordon to stand down. Harley burst in and told her Gordon was outta control and Batman came. Catwoman asked how she looked. Harley was confused but remembered they dated. Catwoman clarified he wasn't a fan of cats. Harley and Ivy felt bad for her. Ivy made vines grow out of her window. The cats marched across it. Catwoman refused to go with them and stated she didn't need anyone's help. In the chaos, Harley and Ivy exited the building and drove off in their car, leaving Bud and Lou with Catwoman. She saw them eating an officer and realized Harley lied to her. Harley and Ivy made it past the city exit.
After Harley and Ivy left Gotham City, the former had to use the bathroom so they stopped at the Bludhaven Rest Stop in the afternoon. Ivy was annoyed Harley opted to flip out of the car instead of using the door. Harley apologized but thought Ivy was coming in. Ivy told her to just hurry so they could go to wherever she was planning to go. Harley teased she might rob the place if left alone then pointed out Ivy was hungry. She knew Ivy was turning up the radio volume to drown out her stomach growling. Ivy was amused she called it "tummy music" and couldn't stay mad. Harley opened the door for her. Ivy reiterated they needed to be quick with Commissioner Gordon out to kill them. Harley asked if dining in was out of the question. Ivy told her it wasn't a game and ordered her to use the restroom, don't talk to anyone, and don't do anything impetuous. Harley brainstormed about how to make it up to Ivy and keep her happy. She settled on taking her out on their first official date. Two women recognized Harley and followed her into the restroom.
For some reason, they kept talking and Harley heard everything from inside a stall. One decided on lying about Harley taking hostages and calling the police in hopes of a reward. Harley kicked the door open and was about to punch them out but Ivy followed her in, too, and wrapped up the pair with a vine. One still managed to alert a police dispatcher on her phone. Ivy thought the worse and yelled at Harley. She claimed she was innocent and thought they were past lying to each other. Ivy calmed down and apologized to her. A worker at the rest stop named Reign approached Harley and Ivy to thank them for being so true to themselves and revealed there were people rooting for them. She also informed them her manager called the police as soon as they walked in and led them out the back. They thanked Reign. Reign told them queer folk had to support one another. She checked around then told them to stay to their right and they would be back in the parking lot. She even gave them her address if they needed a place to hide out or freshen up and told them the spare key was under the flowerpot.
Nightwing landed in front of them. Harley could only quip at him with nicknames centered around his butt. Ivy claimed Harley was thinking for once and was only using the restroom and trying to get something to eat. Nightwing was skeptical. Harley stated she was trying to help Ivy get over her wedding disaster and wanted to leave before Gordon arrived and went all Rambo on everyone at the rest stop. Nightwing gave them a pass but asked why she was fascinated with his butt. Ivy admitted objectification was wrong but also admitted she liked his butt, too. Nightwing thought to himself that it was "glorious." Ivy summoned a vine to pick them up. Mid-swing, Gordon shot them down from atop a moving van. Nightwing and Batgirl got Gordon to stand down. Harley and Ivy put on make up to conceal their skin color, and thus identities, and went out on a date at the Blud Garden in Bludhaven. Patrons couldn't take their eyes off them for a different reason. Harley made a toast to Ivy's beauty and Ivy added Harley's booty.
Hush butted in and put his arm around Harley, and tried to pick her up like Bruce Wayne. He ignored Ivy and told Harley he wanted her. Ivy ordered him to back off. Hush flipped their table and mused he would make some money from her organs. Harley bashed him in the face with her chair. He decided to sell both of their organs then lifted Harley off the floor by her neck. A waiter interrupted him and asked how the lobster was. Hush bashed the waiter in the head. Ivy demanded he let her go. Harley joked it wasn't the gagging she had in mind. Hush threw Harley onto a full table behind them. The plants Ivy wore in her hair suddenly awakened and chomped at Hush. Harley popped her left shoulder back into place against a column. She helped herself to some patrons' drink and steak. She asked a man if he was going to finish it. He replied he was planning to. Harley conversed with a patron named JT who thought she and Ivy were pretty badass. Ivy wrapped Hush up in a vine. Harley broke two legs off a chair and jumped Hush. Hush blocked her kick and threw her into JT.
Ivy read Hush the riot act but Carmine Falcone intervened. He told them Hush wasn't worth the trouble and offered to pay for everything so they could enjoy their night. Harley kicked Hush off his feet and stomped his crotch then got an idea. Falcone paid for their dinner, bought them the honeymoon suite at a hotel and bought out the Bludhaven Thrill Park for them. Harley and Ivy enjoyed a ferris wheel while Hush was bound to the center and threw up. He was affixed to the top of a strongman test next. They gleefully used the mallet and he screamed in pain. Once they were done, they made out on the hood of their car, unaware they were being spied on. Harley and Ivy retired to their room at the Bludhaven Inn & Suites. Ivy remarked she could get used to waking next to her and start her day kissing and loving on her. Harley was eager to show her what else she could get used to. One hour later, they watched Tawny Young while they ate in bed. Ivy wanted to make a pit stop in Detroit. Harley presumed she wanted to beat up Mephitic for calling her out on the news.
Ivy told her she wanted to help the people because Mephitic's plans threatened to kill innocent people and children in Michigan. Harley checked her forehead and asked her if she hit her head in the fight against Hush. She questioned if she really wanted to kill some people who destroyed the environment. After hurting so many people in the past few months, Ivy just wanted to help some for once. Harley got her back and declared they were going to Hitsville, USA. Ivy told her not to quit her day job. Batman hailed Vixen on comms while she was on the runway during a fashion show. Batman warned her intel led him to believe Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy were heading to Detroit. He speculated they could be partnering with Mephitic in Flint and warned her to be careful.
Later that evening, Harley and Ivy broke into Nightfall's house. Ivy found it tacky since she got arrested at her wedding. Harley suggested it technically wasn't breaking in because Nightfall told her she could come over at anytime. Ivy couldn't believe she just did a "well actually" with her. They immediately noticed the unusually high amount of light bulb cartons around the living room. Ivy speculated for someone who can manipulate darkness, she must want to be surrounded by light. It still felt wrong to Ivy and she didn't think they should intrude. Harley pleaded with Ivy with her cute eyes and told her two days tops. Ivy caved but stated if Nightfall came back and decided to kill them she was nominating her first. The next day, Harley was in good spirits but Ivy sent vines to close the curtains. Harley interpreted that as ten minutes more and went to make breakfast. Livewire appeared out of the toaster. Livewire ate Harley's toast and demanded to know what she was doing in her girlfriend's house.
Harley was intrigued and asked her how long they were going out. Livewire told her it was none of her business and told her to answer the question. Harley realized they weren't sitting together in the chapel at Kite Man and Poison Ivy's wedding and asked if she was sure they were an item. Livewire became agitated and gave her two seconds or she would fry her like a piece of bacon. Harley was no longer listening and wondered if it was possible to deep fry waffles. Ivy came into the kitchen and was surprised to see Livewire at Harley's throat. Livewire was elated and hugged her. Livewire exclaimed it was a "Girl's Nite Out" all over again. She admitted to Ivy she was happy to see her after that disaster of a wedding but still wanted to know why they were squatting in the house. Ivy started by apologizing for getting her arrested and sent to Arkham and explained they were in the house in part to get away from everything but they should have stayed at a hotel.
Livewire admitted Harley was right and revealed she and Nightfall broke up right before the wedding then explained she came to house to hide out from the police after she escaped. She stated he would always have love for Ivy but wasn't ready yet to forgive her for breaking Kite Man's heart and getting a lot of them unnecessarily locked up or committed. She revealed she knew of a place were villains were welcomed and texted it to Ivy but told them she didn't want to see them still present after she came back from the bathroom. Ivy questioned what she was doing not thinking things through and gave Harley the silent treatment. Harley and Ivy drove to the Cedar Evergreen Hotel. She continued to ignore Harley and went into the bathroom. Ivy realized she may have lost another friend by bringing unnecessary drama into their home. Harley revealed she apologized and explained everything to Livewire and got her to help search for some executives involved with the tainted water supply in Michigan. Harley knocked on the bathroom door and suggested using some of the CEOs to work out her frustrations.
Ivy unlocked the door and stated she would like that. Harley was elated and hugged Ivy. She swore not to be impetuous anymore and revealed Livewire aided them again. Ivy asked where the executives were. Harley revealed they were at the Cedar Evergreen, too. Room service arrived and Harley invited them in. Harley and Ivy took their clothes and disguised themselves as waiters to get close to the CEOs. Ivy stressed it was an "in and out" operation and no impetuous stuff. They presented dessert. One of the executives grabbed Harley's butt. They ate the dessert and soon blood shot out of their orifices. Ivy asked one if she wanted a glass of contaminated water. He begged her not to. They all collapsed onto their plates. Harley guessed this was a serious felony and was impressed. They exited out of the kitchen and ran into an nearby alley. Before they could start to plan on targeting the next CEO flying in, Vixen arrived. She admitted Cyborg was right about where they would be. Harley jumped into Ivy's arms.
Ivy claimed they were nobody. Vixen complimented Harley's wig and pulled it off. She refused to let them go even though she thought the CEOs deserved it. Vixen switched to kangaroo and kicked Harley. Ivy summoned vines to catch her then blew hypnotic dust on Vixen and commanded her to go home and forget she saw them. To their surprise, Vixen was immune. She thought it was rude and asked Ivy if she brushed her teeth. Ivy made a bat out of vines and gave it to Harley. She charged Vixen again but got grabbed by the throat. Vixen switched to snake and constricted her. Harley joked no one but Ivy choked her the way she liked it. Ivy attacked but Vixen switched to frog and dodged her strikes. Posed against a wall like a spider, Vixen asked what their plans with Mephitic were. Ivy was confused and stated they didn't know the douche and came to beat him up. A stampede of zoo animals approached them. Ivy realized her pheromones mixed with Vixen's animal spirits and attracted all animals. Vixen switched to skunk and sprayed the area to disperse them. Ivy grabbed Harley and rose out of the stink bomb with a vine. Harley was horrified. Vixen retorted it was what they deserved. It made the viral clip of the day on the news.
Ivy and Harley perched on a giant vine far above Vixen. Harley swore she would kill Vixen for spraying them. Ivy suggested she be happy with the fact that they got away. Harley took offense the spray was in her hair. Ivy calmed her down by pointing out they could take a bath and scrub each other with peroxide and baking soda to get the smell off. Harley and Ivy made their way back to the Cedar Evergreen. Harley noticed the Black Cat Lounge, a local strip club, and floated the idea they visit it in the evening. Ivy was more concerned with leaving Detroit. They took off their clothes to avoid bringing as much stink into the hotel to avoid giving away their location to Vixen's strong sense of smell. Vines brought them peroxide, baking soda, and soap. As they bathed, Harley suggested they shower together next time. Ivy perked up. Harley added they should as long as there was no picking off random body parts off of her hair. Ivy noted that got creepy then shared her idea of leaving Detroit and laying low in Central City.
Harley was surprised she wanted to leave before they found the last CEO. She reminded Ivy of what the Queen of Fables once told her, end the bloodline then noted that wasn't like her to leave a mission incomplete. She asked what was really going on. Ivy still lied there was nothing wrong and asked her to just drop it and let her finish scrubbing her clean. Harley stepped out of the tub and stated she would drop it if Ivy stopped distracting her with sex every time she talked about what was going on with her. She pointed out she was giving her space to figure it out but being rude wasn't what she signed up for and she could have stayed with the Joker if she wanted to keep having a daily put-down. Harley even brought up how Ivy broke her heart after Themyscira and said she couldn't trust her with her heart and chose Kite Man instead. Harley decided to go to the Black Cat Lounge alone and invited Ivy to come when she was ready to talk and fix things. Harley left a note on the bed imploring Ivy to open up to someone.
Harley Quinn arrived at the Black Cat Lounge in a provocative ensemble. However, Cash the bouncer pretended not to know who she was and told her to stand in line. Harley was furious but complied. To add insult to injury, Cash lied he still didn't recognize her after checking her ID. She kept telling herself not to be impetuous. Cash hailed Mephitic on his bluetooth and informed him Harley arrived alone. She demanded a table from a pair of men. One recognized Harley and quickly deferred to her because he wasn't interested in losing an eye of having his bones broken. Harley was miffed she was addressed to as "ma'am" but sat down and was amazing by the skills of the stripper on stage. She crawled over to Harley's table and entertained her. Harley got cash out of her purse and made it rain. She wished Ivy was with her and hated fighting. She looked a photo of them on her phone while hoping Ivy would reciprocate and respect her boundaries, too. She asked the stripper what to call her. She chose "Peaches" and thanked her for asking.
Harley was surprised Peaches knew who she was. Peaches stated everyone knew her and Ivy. She asked if Ivy would be joining them. Harley decided to call it a night and head back home. However, Cash blocked the exit with a crew. Harley was infuriated he made her wait in line even though he knew who she was. He wasn't afraid of her threats at all and advised her to take a seat. Harley vowed to wipe that look off his face and took out vanity brass knuckles that spelled out "Booom." She easily dispatched his crew and took at bat off one of them then attacked Cash with a kick. Cash grabbed her leg and held her upside down but she kicked him hard in the mouth with her other foot. Harley teased he had a little something on his cheek. He punched, she ducked and nailed him in the gut. Mephitic saw the whole thing and found it pathetic. He ordered Cash to stop playing around and bring Harley to him. She couldn't resist making fun of his smell. She leaped at him but she lost consciousness as soon as she smelt his breath. Mephitic ordered Cash to put her in the trunk. He gave Ivy less than two hours to find him and tell the world the was the best poisonous villain there is after he beat her in a fight then he would let Harley go. If not, a cannon would fire many dirty needles at Harley.
Harley advised Mephitic to see a doctor about the smell. He leaned in closer and made her choke. Harley reckoned she would rather smell Swamp Thing's swampy pits and Mephitic somehow smelt worse than the rotting Parademon corpses back in Gotham City. He noted she had a smart mouth but to his surprise, she enjoyed the pain. He got out his notebook and jotted down notes. He questioned if she was impervious to his power. He ordered the zombified people to unchain her so he could run some experiments. Harley contested he told Ivy she would stay alive if she complied to his ultimatum. Mephitic clarified he meant "alive," not "unharmed." Mephitic wondered what was so special about Harley that she wouldn't succumb to his control. Harley speculated toxic waste didn't work on her. Mephitic ordered his subjects to bring the tubes. They connected the tubes to Mephitic. Harley tried to stall and asked why he was so compelled to take her and Ivy down. Mephitic revealed there absolutely no reason.
Harley realized he just wanted to be a villain since he was a child. Mephitic revealed he didn't always but knew his destiny was to take over the world but he just wasn't sure how he would so he conducted experiments. He then revealed the next phase of his plan was to become a member of the Cadre. He got out a scalpel and instructed his subjects to insert a tube into wherever he cut. Harley requested he clean the scalpel first for sanitary reasons. She pointed out he should livestream the experiment and use it as an audition tape for the Cadre plus chaining her up again would help his bodily fluids flow better. Mephitic conceded she had a point and went along with her idea. Ivy had about thirty minutes left. Harley's demeanor started to plummet after the fourth tube was inserted in her. She saw Ivy's Dandy weed and perked up. Giant weeds knocked a hole in the wall nearby and attacked Mephitic's zombies. Ivy went to Harley but Mephitic refused to let her go. He advised her to use the last six minutes to say goodbye to Harley.
Ivy put her phone on the floor, hugged Harley, apologized for everything, and kissed her. Harley was confused. Ivy stood in front of Harley and chose to sacrifice her life instead. Harley was shielded with vines. With three minutes left, Livewire emerged from the phone and destroyed Mephitic's needle cannon. Mephitic refused to back down. Vixen crashed through the skylight and vowed he was heading to A.R.G.U.S. soon enough. Zatanna teleported into the warehouse and advised Livewire to take cover. Vixen invoked snake and constricted Mephitic while Zatanna cast a backwards spell designed to wash and scrub Mephitic clean. Harley, Ivy, and Livewire rose up above the stream of water on a giant vine. Harley read Ivy the riot act about almost dying in front of her again. Harley was amused Mephitic was just some person in an undershirt and underwear who didn't take a bath in a long time. He vowed they didn't see the last of him. Zatanna teleported away with him. Vixen revealed she heard everything Ivy said and she could empathize.
Since her girlfriend Elle wouldn't forgive her for arresting them, Vixen let them go but they both owed her for it. Before Ivy and Harley could depart, a car pulled up. Commissioner Gordon popped out of the passenger side and ordered them to stop right there. Tawny Young came out and asked them how it felt to defeat a villain just before he destroyed a city like they did back in Gotham. Harley noticed JT from Blud Garden with a camera and Ivy recognized Reign. JT apologized and revealed Tawny Young was their mother and boss. Before Gordon could arrest them, Livewire fired an electric bolt at his feet from the roof. She declared they always had the best Girls Night Out and thanked them for showing her that she needed to fight for Nightfall's heart. Young reported Gordon once again blundered. He glared but was speechless. Ivy administered an antidote to Harley at Cedar Evergreen. On the road again, Ivy surmised Gordon wouldn't be following them anytime soon after he got humiliated on live television again. Harley admired Tawny Young for pulling it off so effortlessly. They reaffirmed they loved each other. Ivy then apologized for it taking so long for her to let Harley in. She asked Harley where they were headed next. Harley mused she could kill for some Jitters. They approached the outskirts of Central City.
Elle called up Poison Ivy with the news she and Vixen would be in Gotham for the weekend and they agreed to hang out. Vixen was surprised she was open to hanging around with them. Elle stated Ivy and Harley Quinn were her friends and she was not going to ignore them because she was dating a hero and pointed out she doesn't approve of Batman but doesn't tell her not to hang around him. Vixen contended that was not the same. Elle countered they were anti-heroes, not villains and asked her to give them a chance. She returned home and apologized to Elle for putting her in an awkward position of choosing her friends or her and would be there for Elle. Harley informed them they got a reservation at The Ocelot the next night. They managed to get an evening reservation under their ship name "Harlivy." McCabe thought it was corny but Elle reminded her about the Vixelle custom shirts and jackets she designed for their ship name. They found Harley and Ivy at the table and made a toast to awkward dates. Elle was happy all heroic and nonheroic ways were put aside and thanked them.
Harley declared everything was on her and told them to order whatever they wanted. Elle and McCabe were amused. Harley stopped herself from admitting she stole the money. Ivy asked Elle how she liked Gotham so far. Elle admitted they hadn't seen much of it yet but asked about a bombed out building a few doors down from the Rest BnB they were renting. Harley and Ivy feigned ignorance about it. Elle teased McCabe for snatching food from her plate. Ivy joked Harley did the same thing but she denied it. McCabe admitted they were low-key fun to hang out with. They noticed a woman becoming irate that patrons in the Ocelot were not donating to her charity but were fine with paying for $500 meals. After dinner, Ivy presented a gift to Elle, a chronic pain bouquet that would help her with her ails. The date was interrupted by the explosive entrance of White Rabbit and her twin goons, Deever and Dumphrey. They proceeded to rob all the patrons. Ivy wrapped up Deever in vines. White Rabbit fangirled over getting to meet her and Harley.
Deever demanded to be put down. Ivy obliged and chucked him. Dumphrey threatened to kill her but Harley took offense. McCabe took on the power of the fox and White Rabbit implored her to try and catch her. Dumphrey grabbed Harley by the neck but she swung a plant-shaped bat and nailed him. Harley elected to grab the woman complaining earlier while Ivy escorted Elle outside. McCabe got bored and switched to a cheetah but White Rabbit remained elusive. Outside, the woman revealed she was the sister of White Rabbit and revealed she was raising funds for a Pakistani charity and her sister meant no harm. To everyone's surprise, the woman and White Rabbit vanished. Elle and McCabe hugged and the latter thanked them for keeping her safe. They went to a Goodielicious. Elle thought it was the funnest date she went on and wanted to do it again. A woman was mugged nearby, prompting Harley to emulate Superman. She easily dispatched the mugger. Elle didn't want the night to end. Harley suggested getting some lap dances.
The next day, the first episode of Tawny Talks was taped live. Vixen, Elle, Harley and Ivy were brought out to the stage first. Vixen and Elle's history was discussed first then their history with Harley and Ivy. Tawny Young then addressed Harley and Ivy's heroics at the Ocelot but Harley stipulated they were not heroes but got excited about the prospect of an antihero-for-hire business. Frank yelled at her to sit down or he was going to be fired by association. At the end of the episode, Young brought all the guests out and thanked them for spilling their tea then suggested therapy. Psycho did not believe any of them were on his level and declared he was no sidekick unlike Clayface, whom he described with profanity. Another fight broke out.
Before Bane was transferred to the Legion of Doom's Tempe office, he attempted to kill Todd over the "Bang" prank. Todd ran through the streets and insisted it was just a harmless joke. Harley Quinn happened to run into them after exiting the Gotham City Police Department headquarters and stood in Bane's way. Robin and Batgirl swooped down and joined her in the fight. Robin and Harley traded barbs amid Batgirl asking him to give her a chance. Nightwing finally arrived and drop kicked Bane. Batgirl called him on his tardiness and he joked he would ask the criminals to hurry up next time. He took a punch from Bane. Harley severed one of his Venom tubes but took a punch, then hit him in the crotch with her bat. He wondered what Ivy would think of her being a hero. She stated she was not a hero and slugged him. Robin stated he would never trust her as long as she slept with the enemy. Nightwing agreed with his point. Harley pointed out Gotham was back to normal. Batgirl attempted to livestream and introduce the newest member of the Bat-Family but Harley was already gone. Police arrived and took Bane away in restraints.
Harley tried to clean some of Bane's Venom off her and questioned what she was doing then headed back to Selina Kyle's penthouse to take a shower, eat, and bang. Harley Quinn returned to the penthouse covered in Venom. She noticed Ivy in her lab snoring then went to clean her wounds and take a shower. Ivy joined her then helped bandage her up. Harley shared her own struggles with moving on from being a villain but not becoming a hero. Ivy. After they had sex, Harley inquired who her friend in college was. Ivy shared that she saw potential in her but she was so obsessed with saving plants only and told Harley she would have to choose, she couldn't have both. Harley froze to the point Ivy thought she was having a stroke. Harley declared she was having an "antihero." Ivy admitted she wished she could be as impulsive as her. Harley was pretty sure it was ADHD. Ivy shared her own misgivings about leading the Legion of Doom but Harley assured her she could whip them into shape. Harley got an idea. She recalled most of the current Legion membership were in jail or dead so they should assemble their own team.
They went through files and quickly became frustrated. Ivy realized it was time for a "Ladies of Doom." A few hours later, they settled on several prospective recruits: Nightfall, Livewire, Queen Bee, Giganta, Jinx, Porcelain, and Lady Marabunta. As Ivy carried the tired Harley to bed, they promised not to lose each other as they went in different directions. Harley woke up and found a note from Ivy telling her she went on errands. Harley decided to go out and meet with the Bat-Family. Hours later, Harley met the Bat-Family on the roof of the Gotham City Police Department headquarters. Robin and Batgirl sparred. Harley wondered why they weren't in the Batcave. Robin quickly answered they won't let a common thief on their estate. Harley suggested someone take the silver dictionary out his mouth and give him some candy. Robin got irritated by her touching the Batsignal and stated it imbued fear in the hearts of villains and instilled hope in Gothamites. Harley called it a nightlight that let villains know when Batman was on his way.
Batgirl assured Harley he just gets cranky when he's hungry. He denied it. Batgirl added he was jealous she got to drive the Batmobile when he couldn't see over the dashboard. He denied it. Harley and Batgirl sparred. She insisted Harley was a hero and deserved to be with the Bat-Family. Harley questioned that and brought up her past incarcerations at Arkham Asylum then questioned how Ivy could love her after she ruined her Edin plans, teamed up with the Bat-Family, and lied to her about it. Batgirl tried to console her as she sobbed. After Harley and Ivy fooled around in the morning, the latter fretted about what to wear for the Ladies of Doom interviews. Harley suggested they go shopping at the New Gotham Mall. They ran into Clock King and Riddler. Clock King was still grumpy about losing to Harley and Ivy for the Best Couple Villy Award and was not too nice to them. Harley didn't take kindly to him calling them "old biddies" and referred to him as "Father Time."
Clock King claimed he was not salty and believed if the Villy's had a video of the GCPD chasing them, they would have won. He believed they would win at the next ceremony since there were rumors Harley was fighting for the other side now. Harley was irate and called him a 60 Minutes body double. Ivy knew something was wrong because she got so annoyed with Clock King but Harley opted to keep her secret a bit longer and only told her she didn't want to lose the friendships she had for decades just because she was going to be something similar to a hero. Ivy told her if people didn't want to associate with her anymore that was on them and reiterated she would never hate her. They headed to a virtual fitting room and went through several outfits. They were interrupted when Bane was punched through a wall by Knockout. Knockout gave him a beating to teach him a lesson for stalking her. Bane admitted he just wanted a special session with his favorite Boomboom Room employee before he was transferred. Harley and Ivy both wanted to recruit her.
Bane promised never to stalk her and never to go to The Boomboom Room ever again. Knockout turned to them and asked what they were talking about. Batgirl tried to contact Harley about a new case involving Black Mask but she only got her voicemail. Harley and Ivy went with Knockout to The Boomboom Room. Knockout reminded them they would talk after she finished her set. She advised them to order the Chicken Fingers and to tip her. While she started dancing to her fans, Harley and Ivy were given the V.I.P. treatment from a hostess named Cindy. Peaches ran into Harley and Ivy and told them about her missing sister Miia. Ivy offered to contact Vixen for help but Black Mask interrupted and sent Peaches off to make money for him. Black Mask offered Ivy and Harley their own territory in exchange for them helping him take control over Gotham. Mask got angry after they declined and declared they would rue the day. Harley thought he was talking about the show Euphoria. Mask was about to call her a dumb blonde but Ivy threatened to make him vanish from existence.
Knockout did not like her new friend Harley being disrespected and came over. One of Mask's men informed him Lady Firefly was arrested. Mask was alarmed and left but vowed they would be meeting again. Knockout revealed she was going to do a day each with Harley and Ivy. During a lunch break, Ivy read Harley's note and gave her a call. Harley told her she might be home a little late. She declined to mention she was training with the Bat-Family at an Off-Site Bat-Training Facility. To Nightwing's annoyance, she still managed to avoid his attacks. Harley once again brought it up it wasn't the Batcave and Robin repeated he would not grant her access. Batgirl briefed them about Black Mask and asked if anyone knew anything more. Harley brought encountering him at the Boomboom Room the other day and his ultimatum. Batgirl was still unsure of what he had to gain from burning Penguin's territory. Nightwing speculated it was part of his plan to take over the city.
Harley got a text from Joker about Black Mask holding him hostage then shared it with the others. She wanted to go by Red Bat which was immediately mocked by Robin. Harley decided to drive one of Bruce Wayne's car without asking. The Bat-Family arrived and drove out Black Mask. He noted there was something familiar about the fourth member of the team, unaware she was really Harley Quinn. Robin realized her cape was a shower curtain and Batgirl noted her suit was one of Catwoman's. Harley called it a work in progress. They quickly took down the False Face Society and drove out Black Mask. Mask hit Robin in the back of the head but he got off a Batarang and knocked the detonator out of Mask's hands but he escaped. Robin blamed Harley for failing to capture Mask but she then shared a tip that the Legion of Doom was restructuring and bringing in more villains. Nightwing suggested a stakeout. Batgirl took Harley aside and asked what was wrong. Harley lied she was just hormonal. Harley headed home and waited for Ivy.
The following morning, Frank dressed in a suit and watched in anticipation for Ivy and Harley to argue about the latter coming home late without dinner. Ivy made up a lie she was out with Livewire and Nightfall. Harley wanted to text them about getting dinner but Ivy implored her to eat her breakfast and snatched her phone away. Ivy told herself she just needed some alone time with Bella Garten first before introducing the two. Harley gobbled her food down then shoved the dishes off the table. They started having sex on the kitchen table but Frank declared being a cuck wasn't in the job description. While both were annoyed by his presence, Harley was surprised he got paid but thought he looked really good. She tried to get Ivy to agree to giving her an allowance but she got a text from Batgirl. King Shark and Clayface were aghast when Harley passed on band practice with them for The Blackened Pains of Zeerathan. Clayface wondered if they were even a crew anymore. Harley assured them they were but they were suspicious with how unusual she was acting.
Clayface and King Shark followed Harley Quinn on foot. Harley went to Goodielicious to meet with Batgirl about a mission. She found Batgirl taking a selfie with two fans. She thanked them for subscribing. Batgirl was excited she came and admitted she wasn't sure she would then hugged her. Harley advised not to do that in public or at all. Batgirl remembered boundaries were important to Harley. She presented a peace offering in the form of milkshakes. Harley was shocked Batgirl trusted her enough to tell her the details of the next mission. They were about to leave to pick up "the package" from Vixen but Lady Marabunta attacked a young girl named Tiffany Fox in a mech suit. She blamed Fox for Black Mask's mission failing and wondered what her father would pay for her safety. Batgirl wondered if Harley was a chaos magnet. She declared it was a job for the Batgirls. Harley wasn't feeling it and suggested taking a Quips 101 class. While Batgirl distracted Marabunta, Harley extracted Fox and took her to safety. Harley recognized her from City Hall. Fox wondered who the hell kidnapped her.
Batgirl was thrown at a car but Harley tackled her off to the side. Batgirl and Harley returned to an off-site Bat-Warehouse. Batgirl objected to Harley using torture but the latter promised to only harm Lady Marabunta with her bat. Clayface revealed himself to Batgirl's befuddlement. Vixen arrived at the Bat-Warehouse with a young girl named Cassandra Cain and told her she would be safe. Vixen found Nightwing and Robin bickering over running away from bees and asked where Batgirl was. Batgirl apologized for being late and explained she was dropping off a kidnapped child. Vixen was shocked to see Harley Quinn. Harley was surprised Elle didn't tell her but announced she was now a "good-ish guy" and added she even saved Gotham from her girlfriend's clutches. Vixen could not deal with it and asked her to leave because there was something sensitive she had to discuss with the others but promised they would talk later. She told Harley she was proud of her.
Harley returned to the penthouse to find Ivy, King Shark, and Frank waiting up. King alluded to her cover story and remarked her calves looked good. Ivy mistook it as another Sharkley adventure and wanted to go on one next time but Frank refused to schedule it until he got paid. He then advised Ivy and King to take acting classes. Ivy and Harley retired to their bedroom where the latter revealed Marabunta's attempted kidnapping of a child on behalf of Black Mask. Harley speculated Peach's sister Miia might be one of Mask's hostages. Ivy made a note to revoke Marabunta's full dental coverage. They thanked each other but still couldn't reveal their secrets. Ivy was waken up by a call from Harley. Ivy suggested a little quickie now that her schedule was clear but Harley lied about having a therapy session scheduled with Bruce Wayne. She instead texted a sexy pic to Ivy's delight. In reality, she went to Vixen's condo instead. On the elevator up, Harley's guilt got the better of her and the manifestation of Harleen Quinzel appeared on the reflective surface.
Harley remarked the condo was more than big enough for Giganta to fit inside. Mari McCabe quipped one villain in her house was enough. Elle scolded her. McCabe thought it was fascinating she went from a licensed psychologist to a chaotic murderer and no an antihero. Harley was touched she cared. McCabe pointed out the love of her life always talked about Harlivy so she had no choice but to care. They listened to Harley vent her issues with continuing to lie to Ivy about her heroic exploits and being concerned Ivy was mixing up with dangerous villains. McCabe thought she just came to ask for help with a rescue mission. Elle thought that was a lot. Batgirl informed Harley of a meet up at the Boomboom Room. Before parting ways, Elle advised Harley to tell Ivy the truth before she finds out on her own. She thanked Vixen for taking Harley. Vixen recalled she could never say no to her. She took on the power of a bird and flew then caught Harley, now in her Batsuit. Vixen thought she was a ten across the boards. Harley complimented her eyes. Vixen thought she had a woman already. Harley teased she would always appreciate an alluring queen. Vixen told her to hush.
They spotted Black Mask and Lady Marabunta and he declared it was time to Nightwing it. In the fight, Harley disarmed Mask of his gun. Suspecting the police present were on Mask's payroll, Nightwing decided it best the Bat-Family escort the captured villains to Blackgate Penitentiary. Nightfall teleported the Ladies and Nonbinaries of Doom to Blackgate Penitentiary to question Mask about Miia, to Harley's chagrin. Garten took on a new Bat-themed vigilante and wondered if her name was "Patches." She quipped he was still workshopping it. Garten had some suggestions but she passed and made a flat jab at her clothes. Ivy overheard and realized she was Harley Quinn. Harley tried to play it cool but Ivy asked what she was doing and what she was wearing. Garten tried to excuse herself while they talked but Harley wanted to know who she was. She introduced herself as Ivy's ex from college to Harley's surprise. Knockout still was not happy about having to fight the Bat-Family and walked, angry about skipping a shift for the debacle. Everyone froze when Poison Ivy yelled out a curse in frustration. Harley knew trouble was coming next.
Harley put it together that Bella was the reason Ivy didn't answer the phone the other night and returned home without Thai. Harley brought up being surprised to find out she was going to zombify Gotham. Batgirl, Robin, Tiffany Fox, Cassandra Cain, and Porcelain gasped. Harley apologized for being petty and surmised Bella was nice. Ivy told her she was and she could know that if she got a chance to meet her. Harley pointed out she took that choice away. Ivy countered she wasn't completely innocent either. Ivy grabbed all the heroes with giant stalks. Harley claimed she teamed up with them to find intel on Miia. Livewire had enough and fired a fatal blast at Harley. At the last second, Nightfall saved Harley's life. Still angry about Harley breaking into Nightfall's house in Michigan, Livewire prepared to attack again. Ivy wrapped her up and stated she had no right. After Nightfall and Livewire left, Ivy called Bella a plant-wrecker. Nightwing teased her. She called him a dickhead and told him to shut up. Bella pointed out their time would be better spent beating information out of Black Mask.
Before Harley could get out her escrima sticks, Ivy wrapped her up in a stalk and questioned Mask alone. Mask eventually caved and admitted he sold Miia in Detroit just because he needed the money. Ivy refused to take Harley's hand and left Blackgate with the remains of her Legion, suggesting she tell Peaches since she was the hero. Harley was inconsolable. Robin tried to rally her to help escort Mask and Marabunta into Blackgate and tell her things would work out somehow. Vixen tried to shake Harley out of her grief after Ivy left with her Legion. She reminded Harley their love for one another would never disappear but they both had to come to an arrangement on their own time and stop keeping secrets from each other. She implored Harley to help finish the mission. Nightwing didn't like Vixen calling Harley "Red Bat." Harley was about to impulsively fire her grapnel line and go after Ivy but she stopped herself and stated Vixen was right.
Back at the Bat-Warehouse, Wonder Woman arrived for Cassandra Cain and advised Harley to hold herself accountable and apologize to Ivy for her deceit. She jokingly offered to tie her up and force her to speak truthfully. Harley figured Ivy would be at Ace Chemicals. Bella declared it was time for them to be honest about everything. As she left, Bella told Harley to take care of Ivy and to give her respect and honesty or else she would be back and stay longer. Both Harley and Ivy admitted at the same time they didn't want to lose each other. Ivy admitted she hated keeping Bella from her but she was upset with Harley since Jazzapajizza. Harley admitting keeping her work with the Bat-Family a secret the worst thing she ever did. Ivy asked what was next. Harley wasn't sure but believed they had a lot to work through. Harley vowed to resign immediately if being a hero was going to jeopardize their relationship. Ivy told her that wasn't necessary and her happiness was important also. Ivy stated she would support Harley if that was she wanted to do but moving forward she was going to keep some Legion of Doom intel to herself.
Harley agreed and proposed they could make changes along the way. Ivy liked that. Harley noticed Ace Chemicals was kinda quiet without the bloodcurdling screams from the Board of Directors. They kissed and renewed their love for each other. At Selina's Penthouse, Harley and Ivy told King Shark, Clayface, Sy Borgman, and Frank The Plant about the latter's activities as an anti-hero with Batman's team. King Shark didn't think associating with Harley would do any good with his standing in the villain community. He quit the team. Borgman was surprised Ivy was going to tap a superhero. Ivy admitted the situation was unconventional but she loved Harley and was pretty sure it would not be smooth sailing in the beginning. She hoped they could all remain friends and support Harley. Clayface and King Shark left to process the news. Frank vowed to stay. Harley and Ivy retired to their bedroom for make-up sex. Ivy pointed out it would not be used to avoid their problems.
Harley quipped they had grown some and wouldn't be doing that anymore. Frank quipped based on Blackgate, they hadn't grown at all. Ivy threw a pillow at him and told him he was fired. Harley suggested some hero-vs-villain roleplay. She didn't notice a text from Batgirl telling her to show up bright and early tomorrow at the Batcave for her first day on the job.
