After the Legion of Zoom stole the T-Rex Robot, the Batwheels returned to the Batcave in defeat. Moe was reminded of something "huge and strong" and took them to see the giant untested robot he developed with Batman. Moe called it the Giant Mega Ultra Mecha Mobile Momentous Robot but Batcomputer pointed out Batman chose to call it the Ulti-Bat. Bam was placed in the Ulti-Bat's head and told him he could operate it just like the Bat Big Rig but there wasn't time to practice. Bam could barely use the robot on his own much less stand on two feet and it was more the Legion of Zoom's lack of team work that forced Badcomputer to order a retreat. Bam tried training by playing Batball in the Batcave but he was frustrated he would never control Ulti-Bat. He wished the other Batwheels could help him do it. Moe modified the Ulti-Bat so that Buff and Redbird could dock in the robot's legs and Bibi and Batwing in the arms. He also gave the Ulti-Bat an extra feature that allowed it to use the Batwheels' unique skills like Redbird's Bat-o-flage, Buff's boosters, Bibi's magnetic cables, Batwing's Electro Net, and Bam's Batarangs.

To stand up to the Ulti-Bat, Badcomputer constructed his own giant robot from parts in the Parkham Scrap Yard. He dubbed it the Ulti-Bad. It was built to accomodate each member of the Legion of Zoom. The Ulti-Bat and Ulti-Bad battled in Gotham Central Square. Ulti-Bad utilized the skills of the Zoomers like shooting umbrellas, creating an ice sheet to travel on, and deploying Quizz's drones. After Ulti-Bat used its Ultraflage to elude Ulti-Bad, Jestah activated Mega Ultra Bad Mode. Ulti-Bad used a crane to tie up the Ulti-Bat. Bam fired an Ultra-Batarang at a giant doughnut on a building. The two halves hit the Ulti-Bad. The Zoomers began to quarrel over what to do next. Badcomputer wanted to have his motherboard plugged into Ulti-Bad so he could win the battle. Crash could not do so in time and was forced to flee from Ulti-Bat.
