The source of the Atom's shrinking powers is his Dwarf Star Conversion Field Generator, effectively making his belt a Shrink Belt. The Atom later decided to store a back up belt in the Bat Vault in the Batcave. Tired of being big, Buff used the Shrink Belt to become very tiny. Ace mistook him for a toy and took him to his lair on the lower level of the Batcave. Buff eventually placed himself under a magnifying lens to make Ace realize who he was then Buff was able to get back to the Shrink Belt and restore himself back to normal. When Batman and Atom returned to the Batcave, Moe accidentally shrank himself. Atom mused he should put a lock on the belt controls then shrunk down to go look for Moe.
