Atlantis is said to be an island nation dating back 10,000 years ago. It was once a feared naval power that set out to conquer the coast of Europe. However, under mysterious circumstances, Atlantis disappeared. In reality it sunk to the ocean depths and its people were forced to adapt living under the sea. Isolated from society, the nation grew and prospered in a perpetual golden age ruled by royalty. Today, Atlantis is ruled by Aquaman. On Lois Lane's birthday, Superman and Lane attended a party in Poseidonis, the capital of Atlantis.
